Diwali is celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil. According to Hindu mythology, on this day, Lord Rama returned to his kingdom after defeating the demon king, Ravana. To welcome him, the people of his kingdom lit up their homes with diyas.

Diwali is also a time for people to pray to the goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. People offer prayers and perform special puja ceremonies at their homes and temples.

Diwali is a fun and joyous occasion that brings people together. It is a time to celebrate and be grateful for all the good things in our lives.
